Medical Technologist - Chemistry

 Medical Technologist – ChemistryThis position will perform a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests on environmental, blood and body fluid specimens. This position will also be responsible for performing required tests, reporting results to appropriate personnel and maintaining instrumentation utilized.  In addition, duties will include performing quality control procedures, acting as a technical resource, ensuring adequate reagent supplies, assisting in writing technical procedures using the NCCLS format, and training Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians and students. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Basic Sciences or Medical Laboratory Science and graduate of an approved program in Medical Laboratory Science; at least 1 year’s experience in all areas of the Laboratory or Chemistry Department; and ASCP or NCA certification or eligibility and certification within 6 months of employment.
