The UMass Memorial Laboratories operates three laboratories in Worcester, including a regional laboratory that is located in 38,000 square feet of state-of-the-art lab space, as well as laboratories at the University campus and the Memorial campus of UMass Memorial Medical Center.  We have an extensive Outreach Program.  We perform over twelve million laboratory test per year and are staffed with more than 500 lab technologists and support staff, including 15 MDs and PhDs who act as the lab directors of the various laboratories.



Position Summary:

Within the Rheumatology/Immunology department of the Hospital Lab, this candidate will work with considerable independence to perform and interpret various chemical, microscopic, and/or bacteriologic tests to aid in the daignosis and treatment of patients.  Also, this person with be fully proficient in the use of equuipment and procedures for an assigned area.  This is a 2nd shift position.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or successful completion of an accredited four year school of Medical Technology. Recent experience in immunology, electrophoresis, immunofluorescent and serology is required.  HPLC experience is preferred.
