Medical Technologist - Part-time

Set on a beautiful 300-acre campus north of Wilmington, Delaware, the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children has 180 inpatient beds and offers all the major specialties of pediatric medicine, surgery and dentistry. The duPont Hospital is operated by Nemours, which provides institutions and services to improve the health of children. Employing over 400 pediatric physicians, subspecialists and surgeons, Nemours cared for approximately a quarter of a million children during nearly one million encounters in 2005, making Nemours one of the nation's largest children’s health systems. In addition to the hospital, Nemours operates the Nemours Children’s Clinic-Delaware Valley, which provides pediatric primary and specialty care at locations throughout Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania, and southern New Jersey, and Nemours Children’s Clinics-Florida, which provide pediatric subspecialty care in Jacksonville, Orlando and Pensacola. Microbiology – Part-time, dayshift position ( 3 day shifts and one weekend per month) Our Microbiology Department currently has an opening for an ASCP certified MT/MLT to join our team. This position involves interpreting, identifying and performing susceptibility testing on bacterial isolates. Will be instrumental in developing PCR testing. Required: ability to work in a team environment, strong communication skills and experience interpreting a variety of microbiology cultures.
