Medical biller/receptionist

Looking for an EXPERIENCED and DYNAMIC Medical Biller / Medical Receptionist for a fast paced General Surgeon/ Breast Surgeon in Long Beach NY. 

A successful candidate will have the following:

 

• You are self-motivated, energetic, upbeat and enjoy working on a team with knowledgeable, goal-oriented people

• You can successfully work on multiple assignments at one time. When working at the front desk you must be able to pre-cert and / or book surgeries, check insurance for eligibility and referrals, new patient demographics, check patients in or out and bill out to insurance companies. 

• On the days without patients, you can work with and engage insurance companies to ensure accurate and diligent collections

• You can handle patient concerns, objections, financials and collections ethically and compassionately

• You can consistently follow up on correspondence for claims and collections.

 

The successful candidate qualifications:

• High school graduate

• At least 2-3 years medical billing-collecting/receptionist experience

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

• Proficient knowledge of ICD-9, CPT coding, HCPCS and Modifiers

•Experience with Medical Software a plus!

•  Professional image and attitude
