Provides sales and administrative support to the local Medicare broker distribution channel, including coordinating the broker sales process. Administers broker sales commission payments. 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Proactively builds and maintains positive broker relationships. Coordinates regular communications with the broker community through newsletters, e-mail and telephone.

 

• Administers broker licensing, training, testing and recertification.

 

• Monitors compliance with state, federal and health plan regulatory requirements.

 

• Maintains all files associated with broker contracting, including broker agreements.

 

• Reports all implementations and corrections to health plan management.

 

• Responsible for administration and tracking of all broker activities.

 

• Administers broker testing and recertification.

 

• Resolves issues and inquiries related to commissions from health plan and brokers.

 

• Investigates, documents and retrains brokers when necessary.

 

• Performs other duties as required. 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

• High school degree or equivalent.

 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

• Minimum 2 years sales and/or sales support experience.

 

• State health insurance licensure to sell insurance required.

 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

 

• Demonstrated PC literacy.

 

• Proficient with software used by the department.

 

• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and the general senior population.
