Mental Health Awake Overnight Counselor

Position Summary: Riverside Community Care is a long established and growing provider of innovative mental health care, mental retardation and head injury services, substance abuse treatment and other human services to adults, children and families in a wide variety of outpatient and residential settings across 60 communities in Eastern and Central Massachusetts. Working as part of a team in group residences, staff will provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to allow consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community, and develop the skills necessary for more independent living. The overnight counselor has primary responsibility for maintaining a safe milieu at night, performing assigned administrative and household duties, and for initiating the morning routines and consumer supports at the beginning of the day. Interactions between staff and consumers will be guided by an appreciation for those being served as unique individuals and adults, with the expectation and goal of mutual learning and growth.

Qualifications: BA degree and strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
