Mgr, E.P. Lab, Manager Electrophysiology Lab,

Directly responsible to the Administrative Director, Surgical Services, with wide latitude for independent decision making, within the framework of delegated authority, the Electrophysiology Lab Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and administration of safe and competent patient care in the Electrophysiology Lab. Collaborates with Patient Care Managers, physicians and other healthcare professionals, as well as the community we serve.

 

Directs the planning and safe implementation of individualized patient care for Electrophysiology Lab, with emphasis on their specialty. Ensures initial and continuing competency of staff under their respective responsibility.  Identifies staffing needs, recommends initiation of recruitment and selection.  Provides for training, development, coaching, and motivation of employees.  Further, maintains and encourages a positive working environment through a variety of communication systems, positive recognition, intervention and practices resignation recovery.  Facilitates effective, safe, and efficient patient care through the development and implementation of goals and objectives, in order to provide high quality, fiscally responsible services in coordination with appropriate patient outcomes.  Ensures cost effective operations of assigned unit, through the budgeting process and in-line with corporate initiatives and goals. Manages unit compliance of JCAHO, Medicare, and other licensing or accreditation agencies. Coordinates unit activities with other members of the Healthcare, Management, or Leadership Team.
