POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the day-to-day coordination, planning and delivery of training programs for all newly hired and incumbent HIS Operations based positions related to Motivational Interviewing and clinical behavior change support. Monitors staff progress with these skill sets, evaluates the need for further support and provides ongoing training and support.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

* Coordinates, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs related to Motivational Interviewing and behavior change for HIS personnel.

o Develops materials and conducts training relating to Motivational Interviewing and behavior change.

o Assists in the development of clinical policies, procedures and forms that relate to training and quality improvement.

o Works with clinical quality group to establish quality measures that demonstrate competency with Motivational Interviewing and behavior change coaching skills.

o Evaluates staff progress in these areas and provides ongoing support and training to move staff from a novice to expert skill level.

o Coaches clinical and non-clinical staff in high performance and improvement areas.

* Plans, prioritizes, organizes, and manages assignments involving multiple tasks. Acts as a subject matter expert in Motivational Interviewing and behavior change support and works with Instructional Designers in program planning and development, understanding challenges relating to program scalability. Develops Education peers and call center staff to perform Motivational Interviewing and behavior change through effective interaction and teaching methods. Prepares correspondence, including training content and training updates. Composes and prepares non-routine correspondence and documents for projects. Conducts job functions in a manner, which consistently promotes a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers, and supports the company's core values and basic principles. This includes but is not limited to maintaining constructive and professional relationships with peers, supervisory personnel and internal and external customers, facilitating change and serving as a role model, and proactively meeting customers' needs in a timely fashion. Remains current in the field of Motivational Interviewing, clinical behavioral change support, and adult learning theory and techniques. Assists with training of HIS new hire staff and ongoing training for incumbent staff as needed. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Two to four years experience in Motivational Interviewing

* Two to four years clinical behavior change experience with individual and group counseling, training and support

* Three years PC experience with proficiency in MS Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Excellent command of the English language, grammatical, oral and written

* Ability to interact professionally with individuals from various professional backgrounds

* Ability to diffuse reactive" situations

* Ability to organize/prioritize work and to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

* Ability to operate in areas using a variety of high-technology integrated systems

* Ability to exercise independent judgment within agree-upon limitations

* Excellent self-motivation

* Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills

* Ability to work as a team player

* Ability to travel as needed

EDUCATION:

* Bachelors or equivalent experience and education required. Masters and/or PhD preferred

* Advanced degree and experience in Behavioral Health preferred

* Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) preferred

TRAVEL REQUIRED: May require up to 50% travel.
