NURSE PRACTITIONER / 08-14185

Position Description:

This position can be full-time or part-time.Under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist or Fellow, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the pre-anesthetic clinical evaluation of patients. Participates in professional leadership activities including quality improvement, education and consultation to nursing staff and contributes to the palnning, implementation and evaluation of APN standards of care and practice.

Qualifications:

License to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of PALicensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) in the Commonwealth of PAEligibility for or possession of a national certification as a Nurse PractitionerGraduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Masters degree in Nursing. Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience preferredAdvanced physical and psychosocial assessment skills for patients and families across all developmental levelsCritical analysis and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to interpret laboratory and radiographic dataAbility to perform diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresAbility to work collaboratively through consultation with other health care team providersAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in English
