Bayer Diabetes Care offers a variety of products, services and support to people living with diabetes, and is one of the largest producers of blood glucose monitors in the world, supporting customers in 100 countries. Bayer Diabetes Care is committed to being the industry's leader and has had great success towards that goal through the talent and passion of its people.We currently have an opening as National Account Manager -Retail Based Clinic.The Retail-Based Clinic National Account Manager is focused on identifying, developing and facilitating business activities in the rapidly growing Retail-Based Clinic market. Effectively plan, organize, develop, coordinate and execute the implementation and evaluation of sales/marketing plans to targeted retail-based clinics for new and existing Diabetes Care Division products. The planning, implementation and evaluation process will involve working closely with Diabetes Care Marketing, Managed Care, Commercial and HealthCare Services, Finance, National and Regional Account Managers, Retail Sales Force, Telesales, Merchandisers, and other Sales personnel to achieve sales and profit objectives. +Successfully negotiate commitments, develop and implement annual business/marketing plans to include competitive activity, identification of key opportunities situation analysis, objectives, strategies, tactics, and recommendations. Total knowledge of account goals, strategies, and time cycle is imperative in meeting and exceeding business plan goals.+Evaluate and analyze the financial impact of individual opportunities and make recommendations that further the sales process while complying with financial and profitability objectives and ensuring programs are in place to monitor compliance with this policy.+Enhance skills and competencies to improve overall sales and profit results. +Effectively work with other Bayer Divisions (Consumer Care and A1cNow+) to achieve synergistic business goals and objectives. +Maintain regular communication and personal contact with customers, field sales personnel, advertising agencies, professional organizations and other vendors to keep abreast of market trends and evaluate the effectiveness of Diabetes Care marketing activities.+Establish, build and maintain senior executive relationships with targeted accounts.+Initiate, develop, and manage outside alliances with third parties to support Bayer as a valued participant in the overall customer business plan. (training facilitators, retail and consumer publications, Convenient Care Association (CCA), clinician associations, marketing companies and business related customer objectives)This position can be located anywhere in the United States that is preferably close to a major airport hub.Specific Job Skills:+A bachelor’s degree in Business or a Science related field is required. Additional experience in the medical industry field is strongly preferred.+A minimum of six years of progressively responsible sales, management, marketing, corporate/national accounts &/or business development.+Ability and willingness to travel extensively.+The ability to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:Must have in-depth knowledge of the Diabetes industry, sound business acumen incorporating selling and negotiating techniques, strong interpersonal skills, technical/product knowledge, computer literacy, and a modicum of marketing applications. This person must be well versed in administrative policies and procedures, a very effective communicator and possess well-developed analytical skills. Extensive knowledge of the medical distribution channels is a requirement. Education: Bachelor's Degree; Business or Science related field.Typical Job Related Experience: 6 - 10 years..
