Neonatal Psychosocial Service Specialist / 07-12028

Position Description:

Responsible for the provision of expert psychosocial care in the NICU. Functions as an administrative leader, clinical expert, consultant, and educator within the interdisciplinary team. Coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical standards to enhance the quality of care for the neonatal patient and their family. Promotes patient outcomes of maximizing patient developmental experiences and family’s level of involvement. Ensures that care delivered is family centered, child focused, effective and cost efficient.

Qualifications:

PhD in a clinical background from an accredited institution (Psychology, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or other related field). Minimum of 5 years direct clinical care in NICU or other Hospital Units. Evidence of progressive leadership within position required. Experience in research, particularly evaluation of services.Strong leadership skills Excellent communication skills
