Additional responsibilities include maintaining asset inventory lists and assist with the management of the telecom payment system. This individual must have a strong working knowledge of industry acronyms and technology descriptions and have the ability to work independently.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plays a proactive role in developing & applying "Best in Class" approaches/practices to telecom circuit procurement and management. Establish & manage internal customer service level agreements (SLAs) pertaining to circuit ordering, implementation & billing; monitor & regularly report to management on SLAs, project & program milestones & future needs. Responsible for accurate inventory of all voice/data lines and maintaining up-to-date documentation. Primary interface for carrier selection and vendor management; oversight of all circuit orders processed by the department. Participate with team in project management associated with circuit implementation and disconnects. Demonstrate high level of vendor management and negotiation skills. Responsible for the accuracy of the baseline costs in the online telecom billing platform. Document telecommunications procedures and policies with updates as needed.  Work with corporate departments to follow up on information, resolve problems, and keep apprised of network and billing changes. Maintain asset management lists and associated maintenance programs for internal and external client network equipment. Assist in maintaining invoice information related to all facets of telecommunications, including MPLS, frame relay, and internet based network connectivity, as well as pagers and cell phones for internal & external clients. Demonstrate high level of vendor management and negotiation skills. Coordinate vendors to ensure all telephone moves, changes and repairs are made in a timely manner. Generate reports & provide supporting information for internal and external clients. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience including vendor management. Experience: Overall 3+ years of IT experience with an emphasis in the areas of telecommunications, vendor management, and/or project management in a medium to large enterprise environment. Skills and abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Keen attention to detail. Excellent team building and interaction skills. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets.  Accurate project task estimating. Excellent problem solving and cognitive reasoning skills. Demonstrated business acumen across functional areas. Demonstrated client service acumen and communication skills. Analytical independent problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
