Nurse Auditor (RN Code Reviewer) - Nassau County, NY

We are currently seeking a Nurse Auditor (RN Code Reviewer) to work on-site Part-Time for our client in Nassau County New York.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform hospital/ provider bill audits.  Review provider charges for Re-pricing Explanation of Benefits, accuracy of CPT code assignments, and compliance with CPT usage guidelines and state regulatory statutes. Must be familiar with N.Y. State Workers Compensation and Auto- No Fault Fee Schedule and DRGs and ICD-9.  Report audit results and make reimbursement recommendations. Computer skills requrired.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Associate or bachelors degree in nursing required. At least 2 years clinical nursing experience. Clinical hospital experience in an Intensive Care Unit/ Critical Care Unit/ Emergency Room/ Operating Room or other related experience. Valid driver’s license required.  Excellent interpersonal skills and phone manners.  Excellent organizational skills.  Ability to set priorities. Ability to work independently.  Computer literacy required. Please include salary range when applying to this opening.
