Nurse Manager-Admissions/Med-Surg Unit

Clinical Services at the Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center in Charleston, SC has an immediate need for a Nurse Manager and permanent Registered Nurses II and III (RNs) on our new 2 Center Admissions & Medical /Surgical Unit. This unit will house 10 rapid admission beds and 6 medical/surgical beds.

The Nurse Manager of 2 Center will direct the day to day patient care activities in areas of responsibility utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach on a 24-hour basis. This position is an administrative nurse role requiring strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage and lead a multi-disciplinary team. The candidate should possess exceptional organizational, communication and leadership skills.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN and an educational plan to obtain a master’s degree relevant to the healthcare environment is required.  Inpatient nurse manager experience within last 5 years is preferred.
