Nurse Manager, Clinical Research - Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

 The Research Manager will provide leadership and oversight of clinical research occurring within the specified program.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing guidance and assistant in protocol development providing management of approved research studies, trial and protocols, providing management of departmental research staff; acting as a resource person for the medical staff and community; providing educational information and expertise in research methodologies and fostering multidisciplinary research throughout Children’s.   ** REGISTERED NURSE PREFERRED**   Qualifications: Five years experience in managing clinical research required Baccalaureate degree or nursing degree required, advanced degree preferred 3 years experience managing staff Demonstration of a high degree of clerical accuracy with attentiveness to detail and ability to organize data Ability to exercise independent judgment in doing medical summaries Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory guidelines related to research Working knowledge of a PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Access, and Excel) and statistical software, and working knowledge of information systems Possession of the following skills and aptitudes: Good written and oral communication Interpersonal skills Analytical ability Conflict resolution Problem-solving Staff recruitment, retention, and development Physician and other medical provider relationshipsIf you are interested in applying for this position, please visit our website at www.choa.org.
