Nurse Manager - Inpatient Psychiatry

Company: Children's Hospital Boston Location: US-MA-Boston Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Medical/Health Management opportunity for an experienced Nurse Manager for our 16-bed Inpatient Psychiatry unit; ages range from 8-18 yrs for psychiatric and medical/psychiatric diagnoses. This opportunity includes planning, organizing and overseeing daily clinical and administrative operations of inpatient child/adolescent psychiatric unit; Overseeing schedules and managing requests, allocating resources and facilitating coordination of care to meet patients' needs; Developing, recommending and implementing internal standards, policies and procedures to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care; Maintaining operating budget in collaboration with Patient Services Director; Selecting, supervising and evaluating nursing and clinical support personnel; Developing new programming, in collaboration with unit leadership; Leading and participating in hospital, departmental and multidisciplinary programs, committees, and special projects. This role includes 24/7 accountability for the unit. Master's degree in Nursing or related field (such as MBA, MPS, Counseling Psych) and previous management experience in psychiatry required; child/adolescent experience preferred. Progressive leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team required.~MN~
