Mills-Peninsula Health Services, a not-for-profit corporation, operates two community health facilities with a total of 403 inpatient beds. Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame is an acute care hospital. Mills Health Center in San Mateo provides a wide range of outpatient services, including surgery, rehabilitation and diagnostics.Mills-Peninsula Health Services has deep roots in San Mateo County. Mills Hospital opened in 1907 and Peninsula Hospital opened its doors four miles north in Burlingame in 1954. The two merged in 1985 and affiliated with Sutter Health in 1996, becoming Mills-Peninsula Health Services. Mills-Peninsula is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.Appointed by, and under the direction of the Critical Care Director. Incumbant is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Tansitional Care Unit, including interviewing and hiring of new employees as well as employee evaluations and counseling. The person in this position serves as an integral member of  the Critical Care Region Administrative Team. Work schedule must be flexible in order to meet the project demands of the unit and 24-hour responsibilities. Current California RN license Current ACLS and BLS Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other related health care field minimum. MSN Preferred or in progress  Demonstrated current competency in Critical Care Nursing with a minimum of three years of charge nurse experience required. Supervisory or management experience required Demonstrated excellence in the areas of leadership, interpersonal relationships, communication skills and positive customer service behaviors Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
