Nurse Manager of a newly opening MICU

We are currently looking for a Nurse Manager to fill this role. Our managers assume 24 accountability for the operation of designated patient care. This unit will encompass the care of the critically ill medical patient. You would have an opportunity to work with a new growing service with great patient satisfaction scores and excellent patient outcomes. This management position is about twenty four hour accountability for the designated patient care area of our MICU. This includes provision of leadership to improve patient care, enhance professional and program development and achieve Nursing goals. This individual will be held accountable to standards set for Practice Management, Human Resources Management, Fiscal Management, Patient Satisfaction, and Organizational Leadership. We seek individuals with strong professional practice standards and a vision for excellence. Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of PA. BSN required, Masters degree required with a nursing major preferred. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive nursing experience with demonstrated management and leadership skills. Evidence of strong interpersonal communication skills. Consistently self-directed and a self starter, leader and effective facilitator of group dynamics. Ability to work ideas through from idea to implementation and evaluation. Must be able to function effectively under very stressful conditions and tight deadlines.
