New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital, part of the Vibra Healthcare Hospital System, is a 90-bed long-term acute care hospital offering comprehensive, specialized clinical programs, including pulmonary rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation and neurobehavioral programs for individuals requiring rehabilitation services.

New Bedford Hospital is seeking a dynamic Nurse Practitioner to join their team. The Nurse Practitioner works with the Attending Physician and the Medical Director in providing primary medical care to the patients in the facility in accordance with applicable state law. Responsibilities include the evaluation of patients for episodic problems as well as routine scheduled evaluations. The Nurse Practitioner assists with the implementation of medical treatment plans established with the Physicians, and is also responsible for Employee Health physicals (as needed).

This position is full-time day shift.

 

Requirements
The Nurse Practitioner shall be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program. The Nurse Practitioner will preferably be certified through the American Nurses Association and attend ongoing education programs to maintain certification. The Nurse Practitioner shall participate in additional educational programs pertaining to General Medical and Rehab care. The Nurse Practitioner must maintain current licensure by the State of Massachusetts and ACLS certification.
