Nurse Practitioner – Supervisor
The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) in the Women's Center for Health provides care for couples with reproductive endocrine disorders and infertility. The Division is a major referral center for patients for patients from Northern California. The Nurse Practitioner is a member of an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, a Registered Nurse, a fertility counselor, and a Clinical Lab Specialist, among others.
The role of the Nurse Practitioner is to provide guidance and counseling to couples seeking services as well as direct procedures such as intrauterine insemination, ultrasound and other procedures as directed under standardized procedures and protocols. In addition, the REI Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the coordination of services to patients seeking in vitro services, and is responsible for the REI program development and maintenance as well as Nursing Supervision to UWC/REI nursing staff.
Min. Requirements: At least one year of recent NP experience in Women's Health setting required. Masters Degree in Nursing or National Certification required. Supervisory experience preferred. Recent REI & Women's Health experience preferred. Advanced level of nursing skills, specifically in the area of gynecological nursing and infertility. Possession of valid California RN/NP license, must have NP Furnishing License within six months of hire. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and NP Program.
