Masters degree preferred. Graduate of accredited school of nursing.  Current California RN nursing license required. POSITION SUMMARY:  Provides project management analysis, recommendations and decision support for a broad array of complex issues. Provides subject matter expertise to teams charted to address and develop recommendations for current/future operations. Promotes internal and external communications. Manages the project team, timelines and budget. QUALIFICATIONS:  Significant experience (usually 3-5 years) in a management or leadership role and/or project management/operational planning.  Previous experience with Kaiser Permanente preferred. Specific subject matter expertise in the health care operations and care delivery. Ability to conceive, plan and manage team-based projects. Familiarity of heath care industry strategic business issues, with an understanding of KP, its operations, social and legal environment. Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  RN with Clinical Inpatient Experience in MCH, ED, Perioperative or Adult Services (including ICU) areas with strong knowledge of hospital operations, experience as an educator, charge nurse, or manager preferred.SKILLS TESTING:  N/ADUTIES:  FUNCTION AS A MEMER OF THE GSAA KP HEALTHCONNECT INPATIENT CLINICAL SUPPORT TEAM (IDEALLY, I EACH FROM PERIOPERATIVE,  MCH, AND ED CLINICAL AREAS/DOMAINS AND TWO FROM ADULT SERVICES (1 ICU)] DOMAIN).Pre-Go-Live. attend VCE training for their Domain, then shadow staff for several shifts at “live” sitesFunction as Lead Facility ClinicaI Expert for Domain (responsible for scheduling, issue tracking & escalation)Function as Domain Champion (educate staff re application/order set changes, optimization & injury prevention tactics; represeht KPHC in operational Domain meetings; bridge to ancillaries (PCCs, lab, etc.)Cross-train to other Domains and provide VCE support for other facilitiesProvide ongoing staff coaching and point of contact/support for SSS with pager coverage 24 X 7 (overall goal is to provide ongoing support for staff with specific clinical issues needing resolution)Ongoing, lead downtime recovery activities, redesign processes & ensures KPHC optimizationDevelop expertise on Crystal/RIMS reports & develop ties to Quality, Clinical Education, Site Support & local IT Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente’s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente’s policies and procedures.  Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.  At any time, Kaiser Permanente reserves the right to reevaluate and change job descriptions, or to change such positions from salaried to hourly pay status.  Such changes are generally implemented only after notice is given to affected employees.
