JOB DESCRIPTION



Title: On-Site Contract Analyst



Division: MedAssets Supply Chain Systems



Department: Sales



Reports to: Vice President, Customer Improvement

 

Position Objective:



This position is responsible for providing onsite representation for immediate access to all components of the MedAssets Supply Chain Systems Contract Portfolio and maintain the integrity of data in the Local Compliance Catalog. This includes analyzing purchase, contract, Vision, and SI data to identify savings and contract participation opportunities

 



Primary Job Functions:

Identify MedAssets, Inc. savings opportunities through contract pricing analysis and reports to materials management when appropriate.  Monitor savings on a year-to-date basis.



Review monthly SI Reports: Price audit, Spend Review, Non-contract Spend and coordinate direction with Corp. DMM and VPCI.



Assist with price discrepancy resolution with distributor, manufacturers for all Select sites.



Provide cost benefit analysis of product conversion and standardization.



Improve compliance by identifying local contracts that are also MedAssets vendors. 

Analyze data for conversion to MedAssets contracts, looks into commitment capabilities, obtains signed LOC's, defines opportunities that result in better pricing for facility.



Identify opportunities for MedAssets contracting staff to contract with high volume vendors being utilized by the facility, but not presently under a MedAssets contract.  



Completes other projects as assigned.

 



Required Competencies:



Thoroughly understands software products regularly used by the company, including, but not limited to:

Computer skills ( knowledge and experience working with Excel, Wor, and Outlook)



Will need to understand and become knowledgeable about the MedAssets' contract portfolio and CDQuick, LCC, and Strategic Information.



Good verbal and written communications skills.



Thoroughly understands how to get things done in a timely and responsive manner and possesses a commitment to grow the overall business through personal motivation.

 





Minimum Knowledge and Qualifications:



Associate's degree or equivalent or 3 years hospital purchasing experience. 



Position requires the ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence. 

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees.



Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with variables.



Ability to manage daily tasks and projects to conclusion.

Sees areas where improvement is needed and improves them.
