Operating Room - Medical Specialist

SSI contracts with hospital facilities nationwide to assume the responsibilities in the O.R. department that have to do with the management of laparoscopic surgeries and other endoscopic procedures. We are present prior, during and after the surgeries to assist with set up, trouble shoot, offer technical support and assistance during surgery.  Our specialists then clean, maintain and inspect all of our surgical equipment, instruments and supplies.  SSI’s main goal is surgeon, staff and client satisfaction through the customer service we provide.

 

MEDICAL SPECIALIST - LAPAROSCOPY:

 

Ø The chosen candidate(s) must live within 35 minutes of contracted facility or be willing to relocate to meet his requirement.

 

Ø Assist with operating room set-up of endoscopic/laparoscopic equipment and instrumentation.

 

Ø Provide verbal technical assistance to staff and physicians during procedures ie: Laparoscopy, Arthroscopy, Cystoscopy, and Hysteroscopy.

 

Ø Maintain and care of instruments, equipment and products.

 

Ø Responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting and preparing of instrumentation and equipment before, during and after surgical procedures.

 

Ø Maintain SSI’s professional working relationship with our clients.

 

Ø This position is entry level.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:
 

Ø Strong communication skills

Ø Customer service skills preferred

Ø College education or medical certification

Ø Medical experience or 2 years of customer service

Ø Must live within 35 minutes of our contracted hospital/s

Ø Must be able to be flexible on daily schedule

Ø Must be able to participate in a call rotation

Ø Must be able to lift minimum of 35 lbs and push tower of minimum 50 lbs.
