Operations Supervisor

Meritain Health is looking for an Operations Supervisor at our headquarters in Amherst, NY! Job Summary

Under routine supervision, the Operations Supervisor’s primary responsibilities are to coordinate the unit’s duties and keep the department operating efficiently and effectively.

 Essential Duties

· Determine and monitor team and individual staff goals

· Motivate and evaluate staff’s performance in achieving new goals

· Coach and mentor staff

· Maintain and analyze operational reports daily

· Complete the following benefit documentation: timesheets, employee performance appraisals, salary increases, and personnel assessments

· Provide additional training to staff to improve work performance, including review of internal audits and disputing rebuttals

· Participate in hiring potential new employees; conduct interviews

· Assist internal and external clients with daily operations, including plan implementation

· Provide direction, guidance and education to the Team Members

· Schedule and facilitate team meetings

· Facilitate External Audit requests

· Meritain Health’s policies and procedures

· Ensure team adherence to Meritain policies and procedures

 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Ability to read and understand various forms, documentation, files and information in the department

· Basic mathematical skills to verify the accuracy of clerical documents

· Organizational, technical and interpersonal skills

· Ability to respond to inquires and communicate with others by telephone

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· General knowledge of PC applications

· Able to analyze and resolve multiple tasks

 Qualification Standards

High school diploma or any combination of education equivalent to graduation from high school or other combination of education, training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Claims processing experience preferred. Consumer Driven Health Plan experience preferred.
