Organizational Development Manager

Scope of Job

Provides organizational development through leadership, consultation and employee learning and development that aligns with the organization’s core values, strategic direction and operational goals.

 

Uses a variety of OD techniques including needs assessments, facilitation, solution design, presentations, initiative planning, and team building to facilitate appropriate skill and behavioral change, guide organizational planning, increase employee performance and achieve business results.

 

Job Functions

 

1.            Analyze and determine organizational development and learning needs.

2.            The manager will partner with the Executive Leadership team and their Organizational Effectiveness and Human Resources leaders to create appropriate and proactive organizational effectiveness, organizational design, culture and change management programs to support the organization’s ability to achieve successful business outcomes and drive desired behaviors.

3.            Identify strategies for increasing skill, knowledge, and performance in support of the organization’s strategic plan.

4.            Provide leadership to, and serve on key committees, special projects and program implementation and planning.

5.            Demonstrate expert knowledge and experience with respect to all OD content areas including: culture development, employee engagement, change management, program design, and team effectiveness.

6.            Assure that training programs and developmental action plans are congruent with organizational goals and identified needs.

7.            Consult with organizational and departmental leadership to assess training needs, transfer knowledge and develop training curricula.

8.            Identify and implement new technologies to simplify and/or increase efficiencies in the delivery of effective training programs.

9.            Prepare and defend budgetary recommendations, requests, reports, proposals and/or projections.

1.            Ability to manage and lead staff to accomplish goals and objectives

2.            Ability to build and establish rapport with key stakeholders

3.            Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of adult learning

4.            Ability to design, develop and deliver effective curriculum

5.            Strong platform skills

6.            Proven project management skills

7.            Thorough knowledge and experience in team process and performance improvement principles and methods

8.            Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

9.            Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse audience of leadership and employees

10.        Ability to organize and analyze statistical data and prepare comprehensive reports that transfer learning from data to a diverse audience

11.        Knowledge of clinical/professional healthcare education requirements preferred

12.        Ability to travel to meetings/assignments/locations outside base office, if necessary

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

1.            BA/BS degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development or related field. Masters degree in a related field is preferred

2.            Minimum 5-7 years combined experience in leadership training/human resource development

3.            Experience establishing strategic direction based on organizational planning and design, change management, leadership and employee development and employee engagement

4.            Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of management and possess strong consultative and communication skills

5.            A strong customer service focus is required

6.            Strong presentation and written/oral communication skills

7.            Healthcare industry background is preferred

8.            Ability to pass the pre-placement assessment as aligned with the requirements of the position and the policies of Ridgeview Medical Center to include physical demands of the position as outlined by Ridgeview Business Health.
