P&T / Formulary Production Coordinator

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Reports to the Drug Information Manager and works with Health Services leadership to develop and coordinate the processes necessary to support operational and administrative P&T and Formulary Committee production processes. Evaluates operational differences and makes recommendations to solve problems. Coordinates P&T and Formulary process work flow of individuals in Health Services and other departments providing support to P&T and Formulary Committees. Works closely with the Drug Information Manager and MedImpact P&T and Formulary Committees on MI Standard Formulary activities and with the Government Services department on activities related to Medicare Part D. Coordinates and facilitates complex Clinical operational processes including Drug Monograph review and formatting; production, maintenance and distribution of MI corporate P&T and Formulary documents; maintenance and distribution of MI corporate and Medicare Part D standard formulary supporting documentation. Interfaces with other business units and cross functional areas to facilitate operational excellence. Relies on experience, judgment and working knowledge of internal processes to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Two to five years of related experience. Previous health care, medical, or pharmacy experience preferred.Four year degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.Must be detailed oriented with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with all levels of employees and in multiple departments. Strong project management, problem resolution and follow-through skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proofreading abilities. Proficiency with personal computers, MS Office and advanced Microsoft Word skills. Minimum typing speed of 55+ wpm.  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents including drug formularies and prior authorization guidelines, as well as to interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to accurately proof read, edit and write reports and business correspondence. Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures and to write corresponding manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other department business units and from clients. Ability to investigate and analyze information and processes and make recommendations for improvements. To apply please visit our website at:www.medimpact.com
