PACS/RIS Administrator

Solis Women's Health owns and operates breast radiology clinics in the DFW Metroplex area, North Carolina and Arizona, and will continue to grow nationwide.The PACS/RIS Administrator reports directly to the Director of IT & Telecommunications and is based out of our Central Plano clinic.



PACS/RIS IS Analyst

The PACS/RIS Analyst provides support for the installation, configuration, conversion, implementation, monitoring and ongoing utilization of the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Voice and related systems.  This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Radiology PACS systems to support patient care operations and ensure system integrity.

Serves as the liaison between Radiology, IS Department and/or vendor.  Provides administrative and technical support by performing data analysis, assists in the development of policies and procedures, provides user training and monitors system changes. 

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:Closely monitors the performance of specific computer/communications network components to ensure system availability and verify system operations. Implements, monitors and maintains specified systems.  Implements back-up and recovery procedures. Conducts performance tests as necessary.Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides the following support for RIS, PACS, Voice and any other related systems.Revises and follows existing systems and procedures to correct problems and maintains effective data handling, conversion and storage.Oversees the vendor-recommended PACS Quality Control and QC documentation.Trains and assists department personnel, physicians, etc.Ensures system efficiency and securityOther duties as assigned

Minimum RequirementsFive to eight years of experience administering PACS/RIS networkMedical Industry experience, X-Ray, DICOM, CR, Experience with Sectra PACS, Fuji and Hologic is a plusAssociates Degree in Computer Science or a related fieldProblem solving abilities; Exercises initiative and includes the appropriate people in the decision-making processSupports positive corporate culture and treats others with respect and consideration.Effectively communicates in both written and verbal form with all levels of staffExcels in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and executing responsibilities with minimal errorsAble to work productively both as part of a team and individuallyOutstanding customer service skills both internal and externalCandidate should be able to lift without assistance 25-50 lbs without physical limitation.  Candidate should be able to drive to other locations without assistance and perform some travel out of state for several days if required.
