RN- PACU Unit .Florida Hospital Altamonte •Per Diem •Days Unit Description: The PACU Unit is a part of a multidisciplinary team caring for Phase I post anesthesia patients. Scope of practice is Pediatrics through Geriatric level of care. The Florida Hospital PACU unit is comprised of a caring multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians and support staff to meet the needs of patients. Job description: The RN is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care to age specific groups that have received anesthetic agents for surgical procedures or anesthesia interventions. Must be able to identify individualize plan of care through the use of APIE. Performs treatments, administers medication and verify doctor’s orders correctly. Cross Train to pre-op holding is required. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Requirements Job Requirements: •One year experience in PACU•PALS •Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred •Must be a graduate of a school of nursing •Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Florida or actively pursuing reciprocity from another state.
