RMS Lifeline Inc works with premier physician practices to develop and manage dedicated outpatient centers that provide focused and coordinated vascular access procedures to patients receiving hemodialysis treatment for end-stage renal disease (ESRD).  We currently manage more than 50 physician-owned vascular access centers where we provide financial and outcome reporting, staffing and training, facility operations, insurance, billing and regulatory compliance for the physician practice. Our parent company, DaVita, provides dialysis services for those diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, serving 103,000 patients in 43 states and the District of Columbia in more than 1,300 outpatient dialysis centers we currently operate.  DaVita also provides acute inpatient dialysis services in more than 800 hospitals across the country.  The RMS Lifeline Inc. network of managed vascular access centers is accredited by the Joint Commission. We invite you to contact us in regard to an employment opportunity at our RMS Lifeline Inc. home office located in Vernon Hills, Illinois as a Patient Account Representative in our Collections Department.  This is a full-time, daytime position, Monday through Friday.   Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Processing appeals for claims that are either rejected, underpaid or denied Communicating both verbally and in writing with insurance company representatives and taking appropriate action   Identifying and resolving issues regarding contract terms and claim formats Submitting adjustments, rebills, and collections to Medicare and other commercial payors when errors are identified on the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) form Meeting or exceeding established weekly productivity and collection goals Serving as the primary billing contact for RMS Lifeline Inc.’s vascular access centers  The successful candidate will have: 1-2+ years of medical collections experience; knowledge of Medicare collections a strong plus Strong attention to detail, accuracy and proficiency with numbers Experience working with Explanation of Benefit (EOB) forms from insurance companies Familiarity with HCFA 1500 claim filing preferred High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree a plus Excellent customer service, teamwork, communication skills, and initiative Solid computer skills, and the ability to operate basic office equipment  We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, continuing education support, and tuition reimbursement.  We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.  We maintain a drug free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing and background checks.  Job Information Job Title: PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE - VERNON HILLS, IL Company: DaVita Location: Vernon Hills, IL Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Medical/Health Contact Information Reference Code: 057540 DaVita is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
