PAYMENT POSTER

Talbert Medical Group; an independent physician-owned primary care and multi-specialty medical group dedicated to providing compassionate health care and outstanding service in Southern California has an immediate opportunity for experienced Payment Poster.

 Position is responsible for accurately posting payments, applying credits in a timely manner to the appropriate accounts and to balance the payments with the deposit on a daily basis.

 What’s a typical day like? 

Apply Insurance and Patient payments to appropriate accounts, Process and ID Payments that do not meet the contractual allowances and forward to collections. Apply all undistributed money to appropriate accounts, maintaining a 98% accuracy rate. Research and prepare appropriate paperwork for refunds on duplicate and/or over payments as identified at payment posting.

 

Review and process all adjustment requests from clinics in a timely manner.  Prepare reports as identified by management.  Date Stamp and log all payments and vouchers received.  Provide EOB/Voucher copies to the Collectors.  Assist Collectors with the rebilling process.  Balance all batches in system.  Follow all cash handling policy and procedures. Follow company and facility P &P’s and attend team meetings.

 

Qualified candidates will have high school diploma from recognized school, minimum of 1-2 years experience in medical billing office posting remittance advice or EOB. Ability to interpret documents, speak effectively before groups of customers or company employees, good working knowledge of computers of math skills.
