Job Description POSITION PURPOSE:  To operate the hospital communication center by answering and transferring calls, paging, activating code and alarm procedures, and maintaining hospital information. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responds to calls to the switchboard, determines who and what to page, receives and posts daily on-call schedules for the hospital, updates Code Log Book, B-Alert Security log, activates code and alarm procedures, maintains calm demeanor, telephone courtesy at all times.
