PEDIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER (CARDIAC- PNP)

Outstanding opportunity for a pediatric nurse practitioner in one of the most rapidly growing communities in the US. The Congenital Heart Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking additional pediatric intensive care nurse practitioners to join their team of 6 nurse practitioners, five cardiac intensivists, seven cardiologists and two cardiac surgeons. St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is the only facility in the region (and one of a few in North America) that provides a continuum of cardiac care from prenatal diagnosis through childhood, adolescence, and adulthood for individuals with congenital heart disease. The Congenital Heart Surgical program has some of the best outcomes in the in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons national database. Qualifications: Registered in AZ as pediatric nurse practitioner. Certified as nurse practitioner under AZ regulations license. We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Practitioners. Responsibilities: Direct bedside care of patients with congenital heart disease from admission to discharge in a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit under the direct supervision of cardiac surgeons, intensivists and cardiologists. Opportunity to perform and assist with procedures such as intubations, conscious sedation, placing of central venous and arterial lines, chest tubes and pericardial tubes.
