Because of continued growth, as more students and their families recognize the value of focused career education, we are looking for Adjunct (PART TIME) Pharmacy Technician Instructors for our Mechanicsburg Campus.

DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES AND TASKS
Reports to the Program Director and serves as faculty for the Pharmacy Technician Program. Responsible for teaching within YTI’s Pharmacy Technician courses, teaching students in theory, lab and clinical. Teaching courses with an emphasis on Introduction to Pharmacy, Pharmacologic Math, Intro to Medical Terminology, PC applications, Pharmacy Law and Ethics and other classes as assigned by Program Director. In accordance with YTI Career Institute policies and procedures, adjunct faculty members participate in advising students, maintaining office hours, maintain professional competence, and participating in professional development activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION STANDARD
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience: Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

Required: 3+ years work experience as Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) or Pharmacist. Strong commitment to the Pharmacy Tech Program education. Must possess computer skills and have the ability to use common software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and manage data using technology as well as demonstrate the ability to implement the use of technology in Pharmacy Tech education. Must demonstrate 1. creativity and innovation in the field, 2. sensitivity to, and knowledge of, a diverse student body, 3. experience in building and maintaining relationships, 4. excellent verbal and written communication skills, and 5. an understanding of the comprehensive mission and values of YTI. Successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to effectively plan, organize, and manage in a complex, fast-paced environment. Prior teaching experience is preferred.

CERTIFICATION
Required: Must have a combination of appropriate work experience and certifications with evidence of proficiency-CPhT or Pharmacist license.
