Patient Access Rep II - Precertification

Requirements: 3 to 5 years experience in admitting, medical terminology, and/or insurance billing.Demonstrates ability to handle difficult situations by using effective problem solving skills.Knowledge, skills, and ability to work effectively in all areas of patient access, and/or multiple shifts, and/or multiple locations.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment with constant interruptions. Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills and phone etiquette. Ability to relate effectively to a variety of customers in a professional and courteous manner.Knowledge and experience in coverage practices and terminology used by third party payers.Description: Works with patients, physicians, office staff, clinicians, and employers to obtain and accurately record patient insurance benefits and pre-authorization. Effectively communicates precertification information to internal and external customers, while maintaining a focus on customer service and patient confidentiality.
