Immediate Opening: Patient Account Representative - Private Pay

Location: Brentwood, TN
We currently have an immediate opportunity for an individual with Medical billing experience, strong computer skills and excellent organizational and customer services skills. The responsibilities include:
Act as a public relations agent. Assists patients with questions regarding their balances. Print and mail private pay statements. Transfer of appropriate calls to Therapy PAR’s. Notation of patient accounts. Essential Functions: · Prepares, prints, and mails private pay statements for patients, after month-end close.· Follow-up with patients regarding outstanding balances, either to obtain payment in full or establish plans according to company standards.· Work aging reports and determine accounts which need to be forwarded to Transworld for collection procedures, stage I and II.· Identifies accounts for courtesy phone calls.· Notation of patient accounts, regarding phone calls, collection attempts, etc.· Identify phone calls which need to be forwarded to Therapy PARs for research and return phone calls.· E-mail all information to Therapy PAR, copy to Team Lead, to have account researched, including contact name, phone number, date and time of call. *High school graduation or GED.*Must have background in customer service.*Insurance industry and billing procedures. Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.*Computer knowledge, typing minimum of 40 wpm.*Ability to ready, understand, and follow oral and written instruction. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems. Effective communication skills. Establish good working relationships with patients, supervisors, peers, and the public.
