Patient Account Representative

Prior customer service, insurance, and medical billing experience necessary. Billers, Collectors and Coders: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting. Hospital billings experience a plus, TOP PAY!! Hospital Billing / Customer Service: Individuals with an understanding of the medical billing process who are willing to work hard and hit the ground running. The environment is very professional; positions are based throughout the San Jose area.

Qualifications:Candidate should have 2+ years medical billing experience. At Least a High School Diploma or equivalent.Working knowledge of one or more of the following highly preferred: Medicare Medi-CalWorker's Compensation Managed Care (HMO, PPO, POS, etc) Strong communication and PC skills Strong work ethic and excellent customer service attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities: Full cycle medical billing functions. Verifying all client data for completeness and accuracy as well as verification of current insurance carriers. Editing of electronic and hardcopy claims for submission to various insurance carriers including government, managed care and commercial. Past due account follow up and collections. Payer denial reviews and resolution. Patient advocacy and risk management. Various projects as assigned.
