Clinical Operations Management - Utilizes the quality process and best practices to improve clinical operation of the unit. Utilizes guidelines, standards and research to support a care delivery system that produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Incorporates data and information to continually improve operations.Retention practices - Enhances retention of staff within the Inova Health System by utilizing effective communication skills, creating an environment that allows staff to develop professionally, and providing consistent and timely follow up with staff. Available to meet with staff, routinely recognizes staff accomplishments, is visible, makes sound operational decisions and ensures a qualified workforce for the unit.Teamwork - Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and appreciation for the contribution of all team members. Supports Inova's mission and strategic plans.Leadership/ Professional Development - Embraces Inova Health System's Leadership traits and demonstrates supporting behaviors. Leadership skills demonstrated in decision making and problem solving. RequirementsMinimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience.  Must have critical care background.  Cardiac experience background preferred.  BLS certification required.  Licensed or eligible for licensing in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse required.  Proficiency in English required.  Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required. Education RequirementsMasters degree in nursing or related field or evidence of pursing on a continuing basis.
