Patient Care Technicians  UPMC Presbyterian, located in Oakland, is seeking full-time patient care technicians to work in various departments throughout the hospital.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  If no previous hospital or pre-hospital training, successful completion of UPMC’s training program is required.  Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques along with the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing are necessary components of this role. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.  CPR certification is also required. The patient care technicians provide routine patient care and support services in accordance with established policies and procedures, and may be directed by the nurse or physician to assure that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times. Hours and days may rotate. Various shifts are available. UPMC also offers a competitive compensation and benefits package along with a strong growth-oriented working environment.
