Patient Collections Associate

Children's Heart Center is currently hiring a Patient Collections Associate for our Main office in Las Vegas, NV:

 

Job Summary

Responsible for patient collections.  Acts as liaison between Children’s Heart Center and contracted collection agencies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

§  Performs daily patient collections.

§  Follow-up on all return mail for patient collections. 

§  Responds to patient calls regarding account status.

§  Responsible for correspondence on bankruptcy cases.

§  Updates status of accounts for return mail.

§  Prepares charts for review for outside collection agencies.

§  Adds and removes patients from collections.

§  Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualification Requirements/Experience

Minimum 2-3 years experience with patient collections in the medical setting.

Demonstrates ability to maintain strict confidentiality.



 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of Medical Manager and/or Intergy applications.  Detailed knowledge of cardiac related CPT and ICD-9 codes.  Must be computer literate in MS Office software applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).  Must have excellent customer service and people skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a quick learner.  Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

 

Education

Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.  Associates degree in medical field preferred.
