Patient Event Analyst

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, invites you to consider a rewarding career as a

Patient Events Analyst. An insightful professional with a thorough understanding of root cause analysis principles, you will be responsible for investigating adverse patient events by compiling quantitative and qualitative data via staff interviews, medical record review, on-site observation and/or training, and review of internal policies, procedures and/or guidelines; facilitating the development of solutions and outcome measures; providing training to team members; and advancing organizational education through communication of vital patient event statistics.

 

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience with specific emphasis on application of root cause analysis principles; demonstrated group facilitation, teaching and presentation skills; knowledge of hospital and/or ambulatory care administrative & clinical care processes, basic statistics, data analysis and graphic displays of information; and proficiency in report writing and presentation software. A master's degree and/or training in human factors analysis, systems design, or performance measurement is preferred.
