Patient Support Representative (Part-Time)

TITLE: PATIENT SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE

 

LOCATION:  THOMSON, GA

 

POSITION:  PART – TIME

 

 

 

 POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Patient Support Representative is responsible for screening all uninsured/underinsured in-house patients for possible third party reimbursement.  This includes completing all applications, scheduling appointments and acting as a liaison between the third party agency and the patient, both while the patient is still in-house and after discharge.   

 

In addition, other job responsibilities include answering phones, filing, mass mailouts, processing return mail, screening patients who call in to response to mailouts, copying, faxing, ordering supplies, assisting with the completion of weekly and monthly reports and any additional duties as assigned. 

 

Candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and must be able to multi task while maintaining customer service and be able to and work independently with minimal supervision.
