Patient account representative

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must have monthly billing and collections experience, knowledge of account reconciliation and adjustments, customer service communication skills and 2-3 years medical billing experience. IDX or Flow Cast 3.0 knowledge desired along with ability to use Microsoft Excel, fax, copier, calculator, and free view. Specialized knowledge and skills desired are accounting, medical collections, ability to multi-task, professional oral and written communication POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Research/resolve any discrepancies on patient and audit accounts. Ability to research and comprehend collection activity and deal with outside agency. Perform charge corrections and adjustments to accounts. Process patient/client and internal e-mails for account resolution. Customer service phone calls - inbound/out. Assist co-workers with complex accounts. Follow up on Insurance processing and denials. Billing of patient co-insurance/responsibility. Processing of credit card payments against accounts. Retrieval of requisitions and imaged documents for research.
