Payment Review Specialist

Job Description: The Payment Review Specialist reviews patient files to ensure accuracy and completeness; determines appropriate billing distributions; enters data in the Antrim System; processes statements; monitors outstanding accounts; applies late charges and adjustments; processes refunds for over-payments; receives and answers billing inquiries; and reviews past due bills, contacting patients, physician offices and/or third party payor organizations to secure missing information and/or payments or arrange alternative settlement plans. Hours: DaysSalary Type: hourlyLocation: NorDx Laboratory, Scarborough, MaineJob Requirements: IC9 Coding experience; ability to comprehend and communicate State, Federal and 3rd party billing regulation and instruction. Education Requirements: High School Diploma; further education is preferred.
