Perioperative Rn - Surgery

The Perioperative Staff Nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to patients having surgical intervention. She/he is assigned responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care delivered to the surgical patient. Included within this assignment is the responsibility for supervising the practice of C.S.T. The Nurse is to employ positive, effective communication among herself/himself, the patient, physicians and interdepartmental personnel.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Possesses a current license by Maine State Board of Nursing. Demonstrates the ability to provide quality patient care while communicating effectively with members of the surgical team. One year experience fulfilling the responsibilities of a perioperative nurse providing quality patient care. Minimal qualifications - One year medical/surgical experience. CNOR preferred. ACLS preferred.
