About the Position:

The Pharmacist will work 20 hours per week in the Oncology Pharmacy, and 20 hours per week in the Retail Pharmacy. Performs a variety of broadly defined tasks ranging from moderately complex to complex which may include: Filling, checking and dispensing of chemotherapy, chemotherapy-related, and non-chemotherapy pharmaceutical items; counseling patients on the proper use of prescription drugs; consulting with clinicians regarding the availability and proper use of specific medications and ordering pharmaceuticals. Requires a broad knowledge of drug therapies and state and federal pharmacy laws plus strong customer service and interpersonal skills



Candidate Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and 1-3 years of related work experience required.

Skills:

Experience in an IV or Oncology setting required. Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision. Will be point person for hematology/oncology prescribing initiatives. Responsible for maintaining and reporting quality assurance initiatives. Will assist in managing Oncology drug budget. Will have the support of a full-time C.Ph.T. Current state licensure required.
