Pharmacy Applications Analyst

Under the direction of the Clinical Application Manager responsible for MEDITECH Pharmacy (PHA) application in addition to the implementation and shared support of the Provider Order Management (POM) & Ambulatory Order Management (RXM) as it relates to the MEDITECH Pharmacy application at Morton Hospital & Medical Center.

 

The information systems analyst position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of assigned clinical information systems tasks.  The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to manage clinical, administrative and financial data independently, accurately and effectively with attention to patient privacy and detail.  To do these activities requires an understanding of the flow of information through a complex architecture, performing thorough data and system analysis and a developed appreciation for the consequences that erroneous data could have on patient care.

 

Additionally, this position will work with department managers, directors and senior management to provide information or functionality within the limitations of the software that will help the departments or off site facilities meet their department objectives.

 

Must be fluent in Meditech and Microsoft Windows based products.  Must have knowledge of HL7 interfacing as well as electronic transmission of data to outside sources.  Knowledge of NPR report writer is helpful, but not required.

 

Required Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of MEDITECH Pharmacy application is required.

Knowledge of Provider Order Management (POM) & Ambulatory Order Management application.

Five plus years of related experience desired, but not required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to interact with people from all organizational levels and build consensus through negotiation and diplomacy.
