This position supports the pharmacy by following up with pharmacies, physicians, couriers and Assisted Living communities to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of prescription orders. May support more than one department with pharmacy follow-up activities. Minimum 1 year related work experience required, entry level Pharmacy Technician or completion of Pharmacy Technician program preferred. Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and abbreviations strongly preferred. Other duties: Assists data entry techs, refill dept and pharmacy operations. Assists with faxing and filing of prescriptions. Communicates effectively with customers, physicians, pharmacists, couriers and communities. Provide excellent customer service to all external and internal customers Other duties as assigned.
