Pharmacy Informatics Specialist

We are in search of customer-oriented pharmacists who are looking for the chance to be involved in all aspects of the pharmacy information systems for a well known hospital in the great state of Texas.  In this role you will be part of the clinical IS team handling the build and support of all applications and automation systems as well as new implementations.  Since your pharmacy knowledge the key to these roles, no specific application experience is required. Previous systems experience is important though. The ideal candidate will have several years of pharmacy application support, an understanding of pharmacy systems and operations, and excellent communication skills. Training of end users in the pharmacy will also be a component of this role. Barcoding and Ambulatory CPOE are two of the larger projects coming in the near future.  The most exciting part of this position is the new system implementation. The hospital is part of a multi-facility hospital group, and it is moving in the next 2 years to Epic, one of the most recognized inpatient and ambulatory systems vendors.  This is your opportunity to get on at the ground floor.
