SeniorMed, A Walgreens Company, is currently hiring for a Billing Representative who will keep current, accurate billing on patient accounts assures timely remittance, and takes immediate action on issues that involve account integrity. Verifies insurance coverage and follow-up with payers to facilitate uninterrupted cash flow and coordinates all patient and insurance billings for the pharmacy Job Details: Cycle bill all facilities Run new admit report Check in all new admit files, verify insurance, verify address and ensure all admit information is correct. File records in records department. Assist with hospice by preparing monthly hospice spreadsheet, prepare bills and letters and bill insurance for all hospice claims that did not adjudicate when first put through. Mail out PO after the first and 15th billing for special insurance billing Research and solve billing errors and questions. Write and send past due notices. Participate in training of co-workers Process credits for insurance refills, tech errors, etc. Provide weekly census report Answer/Make calls to facilities for collections Bill and test claims Research Refills and Accounts Receivable histories Excellent customer service to all external and internal customers Adheres to all Seniormed LLC ethics, policies and procedures Other duties as assigned About SeniorMed: SeniorMed is a fast growing, nationwide institutional pharmacy dedicated to meeting the special needs of long term care.
