We are currently seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor for our Stratford, CT facility. This individual will be responsible for the daily oversight of all activities of the assigned area, which may include Patient Service Centers (PSCs)/Mobile/In-office Phlebotomy (IOP). Responsible for supervising a department including: Phlebotomists, Phlebotomist Floaters, and Group Leaders. Responsible for employee review, training, development, disciplinary actions as well as ensuring department compliance with all Phlebotomy and Operations procedures. Ensures maintenance of a safe, professional environment in all facilities supervised. The Supervisor will be responsible for a Phlebotomy Mobile Team and requires availability 24/7.  This successful candidate will supervise a road team that is covering nursing homes and private homes.

 

 

Additional responsibilities include:

 Supervises day-to-day activities within the department.Ensures that excellent service is provided to the clients by monitoring subordinate activities and generating feedback.Ensures that all safety requirements and company policies are adhered to.Responsible for inventory control and ordering necessary supplies.Trains and evaluates subordinates.

 

Our ideal candidate will possess:High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.3 - 5 years experience in phlebotomy or other health care environment.Demonstrated leadership experience.Keyboard/data entry application.  PC experience.Customer service in a service environment.Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays.Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license and driving record that meets Quest Diagnostics driver safety guidelines.Demonstrates good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; is able to manage concerns of patients and employees in a professional manner. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high volume setting.PC skills, MS Office applications.Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise consistent, independent, sound judgment.
